Project Partner: Shishu Sarothi
This project works with Shishu Sarothi, an Indian not-for-profit organisation working to improve the lives of children and adults with disabilities. They have a long track record in the area of early intervention and rehabilitation, education, livelihoods, advocacy and awareness as well as protection of rights and legal aid for children and persons with disabilities in North-East India. The NGO is based in the capital city of Assam, Guwahati. This is a unique opportunity to gain experience in the fields of child protection and care for persons with disabilities with a leading NGO in India. This role is an internship position with the opportunity to be placed subject to volunteers’ skills, interests and experiences within Shishu Sarothi’s departments.
Skills required: Experience or knowledge of child protection and/or social work, general administration, training, psychology, vocational skills from accounting to arts and crafts, IT skills, and counselling.
