InterVol was formed by students at the University of Birmingham in 2003 and was the first InterVol volunteering project. InterVol Birmingham support students to volunteer locally in Birmingham and overseas during the summer break with a range of partners including charities working on community health, education, supporting refugees, and wildlife conservation. The society have recently focused on placing volunteers with Care4Calais during the summer months.
InterVol Birmingham have placed over 500 volunteers on projects locally and overseas in the last twenty years. In this time over £150,000 has been raised for community projects.
