InterVol has longstanding partnerships with a number of charities and not for profit organisations around the world. Active members of InterVol societies can put themselves forward to volunteer on summer placements with these partners each year. Placements vary from a couple of weeks to a few months and volunteers are matched with roles that best match their skills and experience that they have developed on their UK volunteering with InterVol. The cost of volunteering is borne by the student, but volunteers are able to personally raise funds to cover their travel expenses and can apply for university or departmental travel bursaries.
Our volunteers also raise funds during the academic year for our partner charities and we make annual grants to support their work. We are proud to have raised over £250,000 for good causes since we were founded in 2003.
