Project Partner: Nancholi Youth Organization
Our new project partner for 2019, Nancholi Youth Organization, is a community healthcare and youth development charity in rural Malawi, particularly focusing on improving access to healthcare and HIV/AIDS treatment.
Our volunteers at Birmingham University and Lancaster University will be recruiting volunteers to support this project with positions available in internship-style roles at the NAYO community health centre as well as being involved in health education and supporting community outreach work. We will match volunteers based on their experience and interests to best meet the needs of NAYO.
Skills required: Experience or knowledge of healthcare work (students of medicine, biomedical sciences, nutrition and biology welcomed), general administration, and IT knowledge. Volunteers will work in support roles and not in lead roles with vulnerable children or adults, volunteers will not conduct any medical procedures.
Length: 4-6 weeks (negotiable).
Number of volunteers: 4-6 volunteers.
